Chapter 21
Interviewing is one of the most important details when making a documentary. Interviews can let you get to know a character, or someone could be source to valid information. When shooting an interview, you don't always just want to film them as a "talking head" you should get them doing something, like walking around doing there job, getting ready for something, anything to keep the eye focused. Also it said to practice the interview. Think of what you're going to ask and try not to get into dumb conversation. And another thing to keep in mind is to ask your question to them first then record there answer.
chapter 16
Chapter 16 was all about the technical things in film making. Such as the lighting, voice recording, graphics, camera work and knowing what you need in making your film successful. Lighting is a huge part of you film. You want to have a clear and crisp shot of whatever it is that you're filming. In the voice recording department, you want to be able to hear what the person in the video is talking about without having to ask someone " what did he say?" The last thing discussed was the camera work. When you're shooting footage you don't want the camera to be moving around fast. You want a steady view and when you are moving the camera, you want it to go smoothly. The different lenses give you different shots and opportunity for more angles to shoot from.
Chapter 9
Basically what chapter 9 was about was having a commitment to the film you're making. The cost to make a movie can be a lot of money so you need to be 100% in it.
Another thing it talked about was having a meaningful concept. You want people to want to go out and see your movie and have some sort of impact when it's finished. You don't want your audience to walk out of the theater feeling like they wasted their money.

Chapter 8 summary
So basically what chapter 8 is about preproduction. The first few pages are about how to pitch your movie idea to someone. It also says how to write it down and connect with the person reading. It's pretty much about appearances. Another thing the chapter talks about is casting, setting, crew and equipment. Then the rest just talks about editing for post production, trying to make in perfect for the audience.

Movie Idea
I always have so many ideas about what i want my movie to be about. I think I've finally decided on doing it on my dad's weight loss challenge for work. For the past few weeks my dad and people at his work are doing a "Biggest Loser" thing a work. Whoever loses the most weight wins 200 dollars. I thought it'd be a good idea to document him working out and fighting the temptations of chocolate and heavy process foods.

Grizzly Man
Timothy Treadwell was known as being the grizzly man. He dedicated his life to protecting the crazy animals. His own heroic work backfired on him and was killed by one of his bear friends. The scenery of his own footage was capturing, the best was with his little fox friend. Even though Timothy came off as being a little crazy, the interview with his friends and family showed he was a real person that was just damaged.
